Welcome to Chandra's cake site!
In January 2006, a friend (Beth) and I took a Beginner's cake decorating class. We had six weeks of learning how to properly frost a cake, how to make awesome buttercream icing, basic techniques, and learning how to create borders, lines and a few flowers. Beth and I had so much fun that we took the Intermediate class that fall. During the second six week class we learned how to make more kinds of icing as well as more borders, flowers and decorating techniques. I have thoroughly enjoyed making cakes and trying to do new things. With the help of these classes, the great teachers we had, books and other websites I hope I can get better and be more creative.
